BRP Policies and Procedure"

National Statistics Office Regional Office IX at Garden Orchid, Zamboanga City last June 28-29, 2006, hosted the second level Birth Registration Project Orientation/Training. The participants were coming from different region-, etc.

Atty. Maqtahar L. Manulon, Regional Director of National Statistics Office Region IX, opened the solemnly with warm welcome remarks to all participants by attending this endeavor.

Mr. Joseph Cajita, BRP Project Coordinator, also delivered a message from Birth Registration Project. He also emphasized some updates of the BRP undertakings especially on Plan Project requirements.

The Accountant of Region VII Didith Taghap reported some learning’s and experience encountered by their region. She also disseminates the 2006 Birth Registration Project MOA Budget and plan of action, issues and concerns.

On the second day a recapitulation of yesterday’s topic was assigned to the host team. It was followed by discussions on National Statistics Office audit observations and BRP operational guidelines given by Felipa Siborboro of Region IX and Kim Macabunbun of ARMM respectively. Mr. Felix Ducalalas, COA Team leader, emphasized also the rules on Government Procurement for all the sections.

The training was successfully ended at 3:00 P.M. and a field trip as made to grace some tourist spots in the City of Zamboanga.
