"Birth Registration Project / BCRS Information System"

August 22-23, 2006

The National Statistics Office Region IX hosted a 2-day training on Birth Civl Registration System-Information System last August 22-23, 2006 at Garden Orchid Hotel, Zamboanga City .

The program started with interfaith prayer led by Nicanor Pableo of NSO, Basilan and Afda Amillasan, MCR, Sapa-Sapa followed by the National Anthem.

RD Manulon gave the welcome remarks, stressing about the importance of BCRS Information System. The participants were introduced by the Regional Focal Person Ms. Felisa S. Ponio. The training was participated by the MCRs of pilot areas from Region IX, ARMM and other NSO staff incharge of the DVSS from provincial office.

Ms. Lourdes J. Hufana, CRD director gave a message regarding the Civil Registration System/BCRS and support in achieving the 100% Birth Registration. It was followed by the Video presentation about the role and objectives of Plan Philippines .

Resource speakers were Ms. Joseph Cajita, Mr. Erwin Yamsuan and Mr. Erwin Gaerlan. Issues and concerns were also discussed by Mr. Joseph Gajita. The training ended with a parting message by Regional Director Atty. Maqtahar L. Manulon.
